Puerto Rico AI has a five part student-centric educational model called ASPIRE. ASPIRE stands for Artificial Sciences (aka AI), Programming (Python, R, etc.), Internetworking (switches, routers, servers, etc., Robotics (automation), Environment (ecology, farming, etc.).
Every five part subject matter are carefully designed to “aspire” to compliment, reinforce, and support each other.
For example, the long-term goal of our Environment subject matter is to make Puerto Rico genuinely attain food sovereignty, security, and Caribbean food commodity dominance, both raw agricultural commodities and processed commodities by 2030.
In the short term, Puerto Rico AI is committed to meaningfully prepare and train as many high school and college students as possible for the high paying jobs that would be part of making Puerto Rico an agriculture epicenter of trade and commerce.
Hence, the advocacy to promote the teaching and learning of Artificial Intelligence, computer programming, Internetworking, and robotics in the high schools and colleges in Puerto Rico.
It’s time to honestly offer a viable alternative to low paying tourism service sector employment to our students in Puerto Rico’s high schools and colleges.
Tourism should always be part of Puerto Rico’s economy: however tourism should not be the only dominant sector for employment for many youth in Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico AI can achieve this ambitious goal of food sovereignty, security, and Caribbean food commodity dominance, both raw agricultural commodities and processed commodities by 2030, by employing Artificial Intelligence, programming, Internet, and automation (robotics) in our agriculture sector, commercial air, land, and sea transport, and reliable renewable clean energy infrastructure (solar, hydropower, etc.), as envisioned by Puerto Rico AI.
